Cook Together at Cafe Hitchcock
Taste the change of season with foraged foods!

This event has passed.

We think it's about time the culinary arts were combined with the science of nutrition - what better way to do this than to celebrate the bounty that nature offers during the changing of the seasons! Special guests from Foraged & Found Edibles share their wisdom and foraged produce!

As we ease out of winter and tip-toe into spring, we experience an amazing rebirth of plants and fungi that were quiet during the cold months. For this Cook Together, chef Jesse Barber will bring us amazing foraged ingredients from the great Pacific Northwest, while nutritionist Keri Romerdahl enlightens us on the wellness value of eating these hyper local, seasonal treats.

When we Cook Together, you'll learn techniques and glean nutritional knowledge while having a blast in the kitchen. This is a hands-on experience and the cost of the ticket includes enjoying a family style feast that we create together. Vegetarians and vegans welcome!

**Don't worry, wine will be available for purchase!

Jesse Barber is a renowned culinary genius who has spent time cooking at Michelin 3 star restaurants The French Laundry and Per Se, owned his own critically acclaimed restaurants, and has taught countless global leaders how to cook.

From Keri Romerdahl:

My interest in nutrition began with my mother – who had an intuitive understanding of food as medicine, and raised us this way. My decision to study nutrition came suddenly one day out of a broken heart for seeing so many of my friends and family die young.  Since medicine did not interest me, I decided food had to have something to do with it.  Now 10 or so years later, I think I was right. We are so much more than what we eat, but I’m convinced that our relationship with food and nature determines how well we enjoy the ride!

Michael Hebb has been hosting collaborative dinners for the past twenty years, teaching both chefs and non-cooks how to cook together.
