Short Film Programs:
PLAYING GAMES (96 min.) - Saturday, November 8, 9pm
Avatars, athletes, and dolls unite! From sports and cards to video games and mind games, these films revel in the thrill of competition, fantasy, and desire. Bodies and incantations collide, transformations shiver on a knife’s edge, and secrets unfurl in locker rooms, pool halls, and forest cabins. Playfully eerie, darkly funny, and flagrantly hot, this block invites you to step into worlds where the stakes of sex, power, and pleasure are always on the line.
LET’S MAKE A PORNO (99 min.) - Saturday, November 8, 4 pm
From Zurich to San Francisco to Bangkok, these films celebrate sex, kink, love, and longing in all their messy, gorgeous complexity. Step inside intimate D/s rituals, confront the politics of desire and disability, dive into puppy-play confessions, and meet community archivists and erotic visionaries keeping queer histories alive. Ranging from live sex performances to homemade DIY productions, this program asks what it means to risk vulnerability, claim pleasure, and carve out space for connection on our own terms.
NIGHTLIFE (97 min.) - Sunday, November 9, 5pm
Wander into Berlin’s night clubs, Marseille’s leather archives, Montreal’s punk scene, and a 1960s-themed pansexual orgy to revel in the hidden spaces where desire fuels the night. This block celebrates the thrill of freedom found in the shadows, sweaty clubs, and other dark corners where conventions fall away and pleasure takes charge.
INTO THE WILD (97 min.) - Sunday, November 9, 3pm
Venture out into wild and untamed spaces where sexual freedom flirts with the unknown. From dense forests and urban ruins to tropical beaches and psychedelic deserts, this block of films blurs the line between the real and the surreal as bodies become portals to memory, ritual, and transformation. Through natural landscapes and fleeting connections, desire both haunts and liberates, reminding us that intimacy can be as spectral as it is ecstatic.
Feature Programs:
THE FLAMINGO - Friday, Novermber 7, 6:30pm
Adam Sekuler (United States, 2024) - 78 min.
In her late sixties, Mary Phillips boldly seeks pleasure, attending dungeon parties and engaging in intimacy with strangers through her BDSM practice. The Flamingo is more than just a coming-out story; it’s a deep dive into Mary’s world, where she offers healing touch and guidance to others, challenges society’s notions of aging and female sexuality, and explores the complexities of intimacy and self-embodiment. Over glasses of pink lemonade, by the bonfire, and in the most vulnerable moments, Mary’s joie de vivre and compassion shine through, even as she navigates the uncertainties of finding love on her terms. Shot in an observational style, this documentary ultimately offers a new way of seeing, processing, and understanding the experience of aging with pleasure.
LILITH RISING - Sunday, November 9, 7pm
Maria Beatty (United States, 2025) – 75 min.
An experimental feature by acclaimed queer erotic filmmaker Maria Beatty, Lilith Rising is dedicated to the memory of all the loved ones we lost along the way at the hands of the patriarchy. All of the witches, the women, the mothers, the sex workers, the queers, and all of the outcasts who fought (and are still fighting) for the rights we have today, and to change this broken system. They will never be forgotten, as we feel their flames burning ever so brightly again, and remind the fuckers of our collective strength...our unwavering resilience, and that we can no longer be silenced as we rise up.
New 4K Restorations:
THE STORY OF JOANNA (new 4K restoration) - Friday, November 7, 9pm
Gerard Damiano (United States, 1975) – 86 min.
“What is better: sex that grows out of love or love that grows out of pure sex?” Following the unprecedented success of Deep Throat and the critical acclaim of The Devil in Miss Jones, auteur director Gerard Damiano sought a project to push the limits of what an adult film could be in the age of “Porno Chic.” Fascinated by Pauline Réage’s The Story of O, Damiano hoped to bring the French novel to the screen, but after failing to obtain the rights, he instead chose to write his own exploration of a dominant/submissive relationship. Former ballet dancer Terri Hall makes her adult film debut as the ingénue who tests the boundaries of her own sexuality, while veteran actor Jamie Gillis plays her brooding master in this lavish tale of sadism and masochism. In honor of its 50th anniversary, this brand-new 4K restoration brings Damiano’s sumptuous, gothic tale of BDSM back to movie screens, in its fully uncut, uncensored version not seen since its original theatrical release.
TAKE OFF (Armand Weston, United States, 1978, 103 min) - Saturday, November 8, 7pm
At a lavish party thrown by an unknown host, Linda (Leslie Bovee) happens upon a screening room where she views an old stag film from the 1920s depicting a very old man seducing a middle-aged woman (Georgina Spelvin). Later, beside the pool, Linda meets the party's mysterious host, Darrin Blue (Wade Nichols), who invites her on a drive through the country to hear his incredible life story. Through a series of flashbacks set in the 1930s, 40s, 50s, and 60s—each one emulating the cinema and culture of their era—Darrin reveals the secret of how he has managed to stay eternally young throughout the decades. An X-rated "take off" on Oscar Wilde's Picture of Dorian Gray, Armand Weston's acclaimed Take Off is a hilarious pop-culture pastiche, featuring a score by Elephant’s Memory and a guest appearance by Andy Warhol superstar Holly Woodlawn.
