Meet us on Joy Street for Masquerade XV

8:00 pm Doors/Opening Act/Dancing Starts
8:30 pm Joy Street Orchestra — Three Sets
12:00 Midnight Good Night

The best variety dance imaginable: a 4-hour evening featuring the award-winning Joy Street Orchestra, with Rockin’ Rafe Wadleigh, Piano Monster Steven Flynn, Blues Harpist J.D. Hagopian, chanteuse Dina Blade and Songbird Lucia Neare — plus a surprise opening act.

Dance to Swing, R&B, 50s Rock ’n’ Roll, West Coast Swing,  Latin, Pop, Waltzes of all tempos, Blues and more.

This year’s theme is “Rebels & Rock Stars.” If you like it, run with it. If not, then do something else. Everyone’s welcome on Joy Street, costume or not.

Remember the only rule: To enter, everyone needs a mask, and you must wear it until the ceremonial “unmasking.” (Some masks available at the door for $5.)

ABOUT TICKETS

Below you’ll see three ticket prices. They all get you the same grand experience. Because Seattle-area dances continue to see drops in attendance of 40-50 percent, venues have raised prices. And because everyone here was affected differently by the pandemic, we want the Masquerade to be accessible to as many dancers as possible, so we’re offering three different ticket prices (actually four — keep reading).

For those of you who are able to dig a little deeper to support the 30 musicians, artists and theatrical professionals who create this special evening, buying a “sponsor” or “patron” ticket lets you do just that.

What’s the perk when you spend $10 or $20 more? Simple: You’ll know you’re supporting the many artists who make the Masquerade magical, as well as supporting our beloved Century Ballroom.

$95: Patron ticket
$85: Sponsor ticket
$75: Base ticket

Special note: If these ticket prices are prohibitive, or if you haven’t bounced back yet from the pandemic, please be in touch. We’ve set aside a handful of tickets for dancers with genuine need (call Dean: 206-323-1263.)

As always, we’ll do our best to balance for Leads and Follows.
