Sat, Jan 23, 2021 from 10:30am - 1:30pm (Pacific)

This event has passed.

Understanding consent is not enough. You also need to talk with people about it. Communication skills are a necessity for good leadership. When it comes to consent, there are some specifics to help you with the complex topic. In this workshop we’ll look at the significance of good communication, boundaries, and the skills that go into both. We’ll also look at emotional intelligence, emotional regulation, and what they have to do with being a leader. At the end, we’ll look at what happens when consent is broken and the elements of creating and making a good apology.

3 Hour Online Zoom Workshop with Q&A throughout. Handouts and Zoom link will be emailed on the morning of the class.

About the Educators:

The Consent Academy is an educational collective with dedicated educators, coaches, and activists who provide quality consent training and consultations. We promote Consent Culture through education, speaking out, and supporting organizations along their consent journey. Our classes are taught by a rotation of available educators using curriculum developed and shared by all of us. Where possible, we try to teach in pairs. If you have questions about a class or who is signed up to teach it, please email us: theconsentacademy@gmail.com
