C&L 2: Dealing with Power

Sat, Feb 12, 2022 from 10am - 12:30pm (Pacific)

This event has passed.

Power is the ability to create change in our situation or experience. Of all the things that impact our ability to give and receive consent, power has more influence than any other single issue. It’s important to understand the privilege and the risk that power brings. It’s vital to understand the impacts power has and ways to deal with it.

This workshop provides a deep look into power dynamics and the impact of power differentials. Through exercises and discussion we’ll look at where power comes from, some ways to mitigate the impact, and how power, used well, can create positive change.
