Consent and Leadership: In the Thick of It
Dealing with Complex and Difficult Situations

Dealing with the hard parts. Consent is complicated and full of the unexpected. Consent Incidents, even more so. There seems to always be something someone does that’s surprising, dismaying, or both. After years of consent work, we’ve built quite a database of ways things can go wrong. Join us for a look at things that normally go sideways and to ask us about things in your own experience. This workshop provides a look at difficult and challenging situations that come up around consent. Using scenarios and discussion we’ll look at common issues and how to solve them from a leadership perspective. Lots of space will be given for participants to ask questions and bring up their own scenarios. 

3 Hour Online Zoom Workshop with Q&A throughout. Handouts and Zoom link will be emailed on the morning of the class.

• “Consent & Leadership: In the Thick of It” is part of the Consent & Leadership Series: comprehensive topics leaders in the modern world need to know to both understand and manage consent. 
• If taking the classes in order, this is class # 14
• To take this class, you need to have taken the “Consent & Leadership: Building a Framework” class, have taken a Consent for Leadership class (2020 or earlier), or get permission from the Consent Academy.

The Consent Academy is an educational collective with dedicated educators, coaches, and activists who provide quality consent training and consultations. We promote Consent Culture through education, speaking out, and supporting organizations along their consent journey. Our classes are taught by a rotation of available educators using curriculum developed and shared by all of us.
